Vendor Eligibility

• Vendors may sell locally produced food, beverages, crafts, or merchandise.
• All vendors must comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including health permits for prepared food.
• Umatilla Parks & Recreation reserves the right to approve or deny vendors based on product appropriateness, safety, and diversity of offerings.

Application & Fees

• Vendors must submit a completed application before the deadline.
• Spaces are limited; submission does not guarantee acceptance.
• If a vendor is not accepted, any fees paid will be fully refunded.

Market Dates & Hours

• Market runs May through August
• Market hours: 4 PM – 8 PM
• Live Music: 6 PM – 9 PM

Setup & Breakdown

• Setup begins: 2 PM
• All vendors must be fully set up by 3:45 PM
• Vendors must remain open till 8 PM
• Early breakdown is not permitted

Booth Requirements

• Vendors must stay within assigned 10’ x 10’ space
• Tables, tents, and weights are required (40 lbs per tent leg)
• Vendors must provide their own equipment
• Signage must be clear, professional, and family-friendly.
• Vendors are responsible for maintaining the safety of their booth and products.

Product Guidelines

• Only approved items listed in the application may be sold
• No resale or flea market items allowed
• All food vendors must comply with county and state health regulations

Cleanliness & Conduct

• Vendors are responsible for keeping their area clean
• Trash must be removed at the end of the market day
• Professional behavior toward staff, vendors, and customers is required

Weather Policy

• Market operates rain or shine unless otherwise notified
• No refunds due to weather

Cancellations & No-Shows

• Vendors must notify staff at least 7 days in advance
• Repeated no-shows may result in removal from the market

Sales & Transactions

• Vendors are responsible for collecting payment, providing receipts, and paying applicable taxes.
• Umatilla Parks & Recreation is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

Conduct & Safety

• Vendors must conduct themselves professionally and courteously at all times.
• No smoking, alcohol, or inappropriate behavior is allowed in the market area.
• Vendors must comply with all safety regulations and park rules.

Market Management

• Umatilla Parks & Recreation reserves the right to:
  • Reassign booth locations
  • Remove vendors who do not comply with policies
  • Make decisions regarding market operations for safety and fairness

Food Vendor Requirements

• All food vendors must obtain and display required Umatilla County Health Department permits.
  • A valid Oregon Food Handler’s Card is required for at least one person per booth.
  • Vendors must comply with all county and state food safety regulations.
  • Vendors using cooking equipment, propane, or generators must follow fire and safety regulations and have a fire extinguisher onsite.
  • Grease and wastewater may not be disposed of in park facilities or on market grounds.

Cottage Food Law Requirements

• Cottage food vendors must be properly registered with the Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) or licensed through Umatilla County Environmental Health, as applicable. Vendors are responsible for maintaining all required approvals and documentation.
• The Umatilla Saturday Market and the City of Umatilla are not responsible for ensuring vendor compliance with state or county regulations. Compliance is the sole responsibility of the vendor.

Acknowledgment

By participating in the Umatilla Farmers Market, vendors agree to abide by all rules and policies outlined above. Failure to comply may result in removal from the market or ineligibility for future markets.

• At Village Square Plaza, next to Umatilla City Hall

Can I apply for just one date or do I need to commit to the full season?

• Yes, you can apply for one date

How much does it cost?

• $100 for the full season (4 dates) or $35 per market 

What size is a standard booth space?

• 10′ x 10′

Are tents, tables, and chairs provided?
