  • 14U 6:15 PM Umatilla Marina Park

The City of Umatilla is proud to announce an exciting opportunity for 20 athletes to represent our community in the NFL Flag Seahawks Spring Regional Tournament.

This is a CO-ED team opportunity, with athletes competing in both the 14U Co-Ed Division and the Parks & Recreation 12U Co-Ed Division.

This is a huge opportunity for the Boys and Girls who play in our league to go show case their skills against some of the top flag football teams in the North West, this tournament is held in Everett, WA on June 6th 2026 at Kasch Park.

Teams will consist of 10 players and two coaches, in accordance with official NFL Flag tournament rules.

Each team will carry two additional players who will participate fully in all practices and will be held to the same standards as the rest of the team. These players will serve as alternates and are not guaranteed a final roster spot. They are expected to compete at a high level and continue working to earn their place on the official roster. Final roster decisions will be made prior to the May 18 NSID registration deadline.

NFL Flag Regional Divisions

12U Parks & Rec Division & 14U Co‑Ed Division

12U Parks & Rec Division Eligibility

Players are eligible for the 12U division if they are 12 years old or younger on August 1, 2025. To compete in the Parks & Recreation (Rec) division, teams must participate in an NFL FLAG Parks & Rec program (such as a local park and recreation league), and players must have played in that league within the past 12 months.

14U Co-Ed Division Eligibility

Players are eligible for the 14U Co-Ed division if they are 14 years old or younger on August 1, 2025. This division is open to co-ed teams, and teams must be part of an active NFL FLAG league program.

The tournament will be held on June 6, 2026, at Kasch Park in Everett, Washington, and serves as the final opportunity for teams to qualify for the NFL FLAG National Championships. Divisions include co‑ed and recreation teams from 8U through 14U, as well as age-specific girls’ divisions and high school divisions.

This is a “Selected” team, which means there will be tryouts and evaluations to determine who earns a spot on the roster. During the evaluation process, we are looking for athletes who maintain a positive attitude regardless of the outcome and who demonstrate a true team-first mentality. Being coachable is extremely important — players must be willing to listen, learn, and apply feedback.

We will also be evaluating fundamental skills such as route running, catching ability, flag pulling, and pursuit of ball carriers.

NFL Flag football tournaments require all players to complete age verification.

This process is completed through National Sports ID (NSID) to confirm that each team meets its division’s age requirements. The City of Umatilla will cover the $15 NSID registration fee for all participating players.

Try-outs will be held on Tuesday March 31st at 3rd Street Park from 5:30pm to 6:45pm.

All selected players will be contacted directly by April 3rd.
